Brian Head has always been an entrepreneur at heart. While working for 25 years in the financial services industry, 10 of which were as a licensed investment advisor and stockbroker, he was also investing in real estate. His real estate journey, which spans 2 decades, began in the single-family space doing most of the work by himself. Before long, he developed a true passion for real estate investing.
In 2018, Brian’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, she is cancer-free now, but the life-changing journey made their family step back and reflect on life and how best to move forward. A few short years later, he founded Head Start Equity, a real estate private equity firm that provides investors with an opportunity to invest alongside him in institutional-quality multifamily properties to build generational wealth. He is currently invested in 3,200+ rental units across 21 different properties with a total value at closing of $580M. As fund manager, he applies the principles of risk management and diversification he learned in his years in the investment industry to help with the due diligence and relationship building required to find the best deals with the best teams.
