Brian Head has always been an entrepreneur at heart. While working for 25 years in the financial services industry, 10 of which were as a licensed investment advisor and stockbroker, he was also investing in real estate. His real estate journey, which spans 2 decades, began in the single-family space doing most of the work by himself. Before long, he developed a true passion for real estate investing.
In 2018, Brian’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, she is cancer-free now, but the life-changing journey made their family step back and reflect on life and how best to move forward. A few short years later, he founded Head Start Equity, a real estate private equity firm that provides investors with an opportunity to invest alongside him in institutional-quality multifamily properties to build generational wealth. He is currently invested in 3,200+ rental units across 21 different properties with a total value at closing of $580M. As fund manager, he applies the principles of risk management and diversification he learned in his years in the investment industry to help with the due diligence and relationship building required to find the best deals with the best teams.
Brian lives in San Antonio, TX where he was born and raised. He earned his BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Simon is the Principal and Founder of SAS Texas Capital, a real estate firm focused on raising capital for the acquisition of value-add, class B & C multifamily properties. SAS Texas Capital has raised over $1 million in investor capital for the purchase of these assets.
Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. In addition to his extensive professional experience, Simon serves as Chair for the prestigious Alexander Briseno Leadership Development Program (ABLDP) offered through the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, President for the South Texas Chapter for the Risk Management Society, serves on the St. Mary’s University Greehey School of Business Finance & Risk.
